coaching FAQs
Q: What is your coaching style?
A: As the client, you set the tone, the topic, the outcome and the action steps. I have the privilege of joining you on your journey, asking questions and celebrating all your accomplishments along the way! When it comes to ethics and standards, I follow the guidelines set forth by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Q: What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
A: Coaching is always forward-focused while therapy unpacks the past so that you can process those issues and move ahead. Think of therapy as a place to heal from past hurt and trauma in order to step into the future self you envision, and coaching as a tool to help you achieve all the little steps to get there.
Q: What is the difference between coaching, consulting, and mentoring?
A: Consulting offers strategies you can pick from to help achieve your goals. In a mentoring relationship, you gain knowledge about a particular area from someone more experienced. Coaching is a relationship where I get to come alongside you to listen, ask questions, and celebrate your accomplishments.
